In the middle of the watermelon season at Sacoje we supply the main European markets with white watermelon and seedless black watermelon. We know the market requirements and it is essential for us to meet all our customers’ criteria.
Size is very important in this production, but if there is one value that we are particularly rigorous about, it is flavour. Spanish watermelon and especially the product from the Levante region stands out for its great sweetness. This is why at Sacoje we carry out numerous analyses of the sugar level of the harvested product.
Before the product passes through our lines, we measure the amount of sugar in the juice. Only those products that meet our criteria are sent to the washing and packaging area.
